Abstract Objective: To study and summarize the integration technical route of two medical insurance management information systems after Urban Residents Basic Medical Insurance was incorporated into New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme in Anhui province, provide a reference for system incorporates after the Integration of the Basic Medical Insurance System was fully activated. Methods: Field survey and comparative study were implemented for summarizing the integration technical route of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme information system and Urban Residents Basic Medical Insurance information system. Results: Merging Urban Residents Basic Medical Insurance information system based on New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme information system is the approach adopted by Anhui province. Conclusion: This approach is consistent with the actual situation of Anhui. The integration system has made remarkable achievements in real -time reimbursement, facilitating the patients and saving integration cost. This integration technical route is worthy of promotion.
